Due to extreme allergies my parents sent me to art school, so I’ve done corporate logos, magazine illustration, portraits, historical murals, sculpture, and every kind of art including font design. Some of my type face designs are on most computers today, BLIPPO BLACK being the most famous. I wrote music, recorded, had several bands and got involved in the Jesus Movement in 1969 and did many concerts and art for the movement.
In 1976 I heard Dr Gish debate. I saw that creationists had the right message but no fossils. So in 1980 I got into fossils. My ability to sculpt, restore, mould and paint fossils opened the doors to palaeontology, even though my Biblical views were not accepted. In 1980 I quit art and decided to become a palaeontologist and volunteered at the La Brea Tar Pits. The evolutionists there said I could become a palaeontologist without going to school. So I did. Money was scarce. In 1984, I bought a big house in my hometown in Crosbyton, Texas and this also allowed me to go fossil hunting on thousands of acres of ranches. In 1995 I lead my first public dig in Wyoming, then Colorado, Montana, Utah, and so on.
In 1998 I published my first book on creation and fossils Fossil Facts & Fantasies. My latest is GIANTS Against Evolution.
